2018 is gone and 2019 is here. The past year has been eventful for me.
Professionally, the year has been a very successful one. The year was full of fun — with marriages, landmark religious ceremonies, lots of travel and much more. I moved to a new town, next door to a 20-year-old single mom of a few months old baby. Neither of us was interested in a relationship and enjoyed a lot of no-strings-attached fun together. The Christmas week with her was essentially spent indoors, wrapped around each other for warmth.
But the year wasn’t all fun. It brought with it some bad memories too. A few close friends lost aging relatives, a few others discovered serious medical issues, a few had serious financial setbacks — but we all lived through it all to see another year.
Whatever the year gone by was like for you, I hope the coming year is better and fulfills a few, if not all, of your dreams.
